At the end of the tour there is a tasting of coffee, chocolates and Costa Rican liquors.
Once we finish the visit in DOKA, we go to the cloud forest of the Poas Volcano, active volcano with one of the largest craters in the world. You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel. It will go to the Province of Alajuela. During the ascent to the volcano, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Central Valley, as well as views of numerous coffee plantations, ferns and strawberry fields.
The Poás Volcano is one of the most visited parks in Costa Rica and we are eager to show it in a different way, emphasizing the geological formation of the Central Valley and its surroundings, as well as the importance of the Province of Alajuela and the area. Upon reaching the crater’s edge, you will be very impressed by seeing a crater 1.7 kilometers in diameter and 300 meters deep. This crater enjoys the record of the world’s largest geyser crater. Its sulfur plumes are constantly active and add to the beauty of the landscape.
